VIDEO: Man Shattered Hospital Door Glass Out of Emotion Over Daughter's Surgery

Since childhood, everyone has been taught that property should not be destroyed or damaged, whether it be a toy, a book, or a classroom desk. This is even more true when it is not yours, and the notion of willfully causing damage is unthinkable.

Unfortunately, as some mature, they forget these fundamental truths and become ready to break a park bench, a street lamp, or the glass of a hospital window if something does not go their way. Recently in Vanadzor, such an event took place.

On April 1, around 6:30 PM, the police station of the Taroni division received a report stating that a young man had broken the glass of the hospital entrance door about an hour prior. Upon receiving the report, law enforcement took appropriate measures. During the preparation of materials, it was revealed that the act was committed by a 30-year-old resident of the village of Lernapat in the Lori region. Upset and distressed over his daughter’s surgery, who had sustained injuries, the man had struck and shattered the hospital door glass on the same day around 5 PM.

The man was summoned to the division. A forensic examination has been appointed. Materials are being prepared concerning the incident. It is worth mentioning that in 2020, there were 11 recorded incidents of damage to the doors and windows of the medical center, even during these days when the entire medical staff is tirelessly fighting the deadly virus day and night.

According to Article 185 of the Criminal Code, willfully destroying or damaging property is deemed a crime against ownership. But is it really necessary to have coercive measures to understand that breaking the doors and windows of a hospital is unacceptable?

All it takes is to treat the surrounding environment with care, love one's own country, and remember that aggressive behavior is not a means to reach intended goals. Emotions must be managed. If there are problems, it requires a sober judgment, lawful conduct, and restraint to resolve them.
