Frostbite Risk: Surenyan on Upcoming Weather
Weather forecaster Gagik Surenyan has made a post on his Facebook page regarding potential frostbite risks.
“ATTENTION, THERE IS A RISK OF FROSTBITE IN THE FOOTHILL AND LOWLAND AREAS OF THE REPUBLIC FROM APRIL 7 TO 9. In the lowland areas of Tavush, Syunik, and Artsakh, temperatures are expected to reach -2 to -3 degrees Celsius in the air and -4 to -5 degrees Celsius at ground level. On the night of April 8 to 9, in the Ararat Plain and its foothills, temperatures may drop to 0 to -1 degrees Celsius in the air and -2 to -3 degrees Celsius at the ground level. During the mentioned days, cover greenhouse farms and provide heating if possible.
On April 6-7 and 11, significant precipitation is expected in many regions, with snow expected on the 7th and 8th in mountainous areas, Lori, Tavush, Syunik, and Artsakh. Winds will be from the northeast at 3-8 m/s, with wind gusts reaching 15-20 m/s in certain areas. The air temperature is expected to gradually decrease by 6-8 degrees on April 7-8, with a drop of 12-15 degrees in Lori, Tavush, Syunik, and Artsakh.
