Which Groups of Citizens Were Given Priority for Buying Tickets for the Moscow-Yerevan Flight?

In response to several inquiries from citizens, the Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation has announced that priority has been given to Armenian citizens who have recently arrived in Moscow from other Russian cities via transit routes, were unable to leave for Armenia due to the cancellation of flights, and found themselves at the airport and surrounding areas amidst the current situation.

“Alongside these citizens, priority is also given to all Armenian citizens whose return to the homeland is extremely urgent and cannot be delayed. This includes those who require post-operative recovery and are returning to Armenia on medical advice, citizens facing extremely challenging financial situations, citizens accompanied by young children, and others. Information regarding such citizens is also provided by Armenian community organizations,” the embassy stated.

Amidst the highly complex situation that has arisen in recent days, considering the stringent restrictions set by the host country, including the complete cessation of international transport, the embassy continues to utilize all possible means to resolve the issues that have emerged. At the same time, in light of the spread of inaccurate and misleading information in the online domain, we urge everyone to follow information received only from official sources.

Once again, we emphasize that the Armenian Embassy in the Russian Federation is operating under an extremely overloaded regime to address the arising issues,” the embassy noted in a Facebook post.
