9 Armenian Students Unable to Return to Armenia: Armen Ashotyan

Armen Ashotyan, Vice President of the Republican Party of Armenia, wrote on his Facebook page: "A group of Armenian students studying at one of the international schools in Israel has reached out to me, finding themselves in a difficult situation due to the current circumstances. Nine children wish to return to Armenia but are unable to do so. The school has accepted them and promised to keep them until a solution for their exit from the country is found.

Armen Smbatian, Armenia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Israel, has tried to assist them, but the issue remains unresolved. I call on the media to raise this issue and bring it to the attention of the relevant authorities. At the same time, I propose that the government organize a charter flight to return the students to Armenia. Based on my calculations, this emergency flight would cost approximately $30,000, which is equivalent to about 20 parliamentary bonuses. I urge the officials responsible for working with the diaspora to get in touch with these students, and I ask our church's Patriarchate in Jerusalem to provide assistance to them."
