Why Don't We Notice the Cooperation Between the Mayor and the Ministry of Health?

The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' writes: 'The novel coronavirus pandemic, which has gripped the entire world, has mobilized all forces in all countries, and people have united to fight against the spread of the infection.

It seems that in Armenia, however, there is a noticeable passive attitude among some officials and a significant lack of organization. There is hardly a country in the world where the communication of doctors is ensured by any body other than the community. In our case, even though the Yerevan municipality has a mayor, in the form of Hayk Marutyan, and a health department that should collaboratively organize the fight against the virus in coordination with the Ministry of Health, doctors in our country are being transported non-community vehicles, while even the municipal transport services have been suspended.

'Zhoghovurd' has learned that Mayor Hayk Marutyan does go to work but almost does not accept any staff, advising them to work online to avoid contact (he was not particularly active with staff in communication even before). Why don’t we notice the cooperation between the mayor and the Ministry of Health in a substantial, evidence-based manner? To get answers to this question, 'Zhoghovurd' tried to contact the mayor's press secretary, Hakob Karapetyan, but to no avail.'
