One Infected Person Registered in Lori Province but Resides in Yerevan: Governor

Lori province governor Andrey Ghukasyan has stated on his Facebook page: “Dear residents of Lori, I would like to inform you that at present, we have 3 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Lori province. The circle of contacts with the infected individuals has been identified, and all are in isolation.

The situation in our province is being monitored by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The implementation of the instructions of the emergency situation management and the measures aimed at preventing the spread of the infection are under my constant attention.

I urge you to refrain from spreading false or unverified information and to follow only official news sources. I kindly request and urge you to adhere to the instructions and restrictions issued by the authorities and to stay at home, going out only when absolutely necessary. Do not jeopardize your health and the health of your loved ones.

PS: To avoid any misunderstanding regarding the numbers published by me and the Ministry of Health, I would like to clarify that the resident registered as the 4th case had previously lived in Lori, but has been living in Yerevan for several years, where the case was recorded.”
