Georgia Does Not Recognize Nagorno-Karabakh Elections
Georgia does not recognize the "so-called" presidential and parliamentary elections in Nagorno-Karabakh, the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia reaffirms its support for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and does not recognize the so-called parliamentary and presidential elections held in Nagorno-Karabakh on March 31. Georgia supports the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, taking into account the norms and principles of internationally recognized law,” the statement from Georgia’s MFA said today.
