80,000 Masks and 160,000 Gloves to be Provided to Voters in Artsakh

In relation to the nationwide elections taking place on March 31, 2020, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh has provided the Central Election Commission with 5,200 masks and 10,400 gloves. All 282 polling stations and about 10 offices have been disinfected and equipped with antibacterial disinfectant solutions.

During the voting of the nationwide elections, a total of 80,000 masks and 160,000 gloves will be provided to citizens. The staff of the Artsakh Police will be supplied with 3,000 masks, and gloves will also be provided if necessary.

According to the schedule submitted by the Central Election Commission, a medical point will be set up in the press center of the Central Election Commission located in Stepanakert (in the building of the Culture and Youth Palace) for local and arriving observers and journalists on March 30 and 31.

Specialists from the Artsakh Ministry of Health’s Center for Epidemiology and Hygiene will supervise the organization of disinfection work at all polling stations. To prevent further spread of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the duty at check points continues, and the process of acquiring medical supplies and disinfectants is underway.
