Members of Parliament and Staff Rewarded with 61 Million Drams for February Work
AntiFake.am submitted an inquiry to the National Assembly staff requesting information on the total amount of rewards allocated by the President of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, under the Order K-38-A dated March 3, 2020.
In response to the inquiry, AntiFake.am was informed that the total amount of rewards allocated under this order is 61,149,110 Armenian Drams, which is equivalent to approximately $125,000.
The response also referenced the Armenian Law on Personal Data Protection, denying the provision of the order's appendix.
It is worth noting that in February 2020, the National Assembly allocated bonuses twice. These bonuses were given as a reward for the work carried out by members of Parliament and staff during the 17 working days of January, totaling 173,777,983 Armenian Drams, equivalent to around $362,000.
Thus, for the work conducted during the 17 working days in January and in February, members of Parliament and staff were rewarded with a total of 235 million Drams or $495,000.
Additionally, President Ararat Mirzoyan has announced that, as part of the fight against the coronavirus, members of Parliament are willing to allocate the bonuses still unreleased for March to efforts against the pandemic.
