Hayk Marutyan Congratulates Theater Professionals on Their Professional Holiday

The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has congratulated representatives of the theatrical arts on the occasion of the International Theatre Day. In his congratulatory message, he emphasized that theaters should be well-maintained, modern, and comfortable.

The mayor noted that he is pleased with the significant work carried out recently towards shaping a new image of cultural Yerevan. "Recently, we completed extensive renovation work at the Yerevan State Dramatic Theatre, and other theaters are also waiting for their turn this year. The theatrical hubs of Yerevan must be well-equipped, modern, and comfortable," he stated.

As is known, we had planned to hold the annual 'Artavazd' awards on March 27 in collaboration with the Union of Theatrical Figures of Armenia at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet. The preparatory work is essentially completed, everything is ready for the celebration, and at an appropriate time, we will announce the new date for the awards ceremony, where we will appropriately recognize the best works of 2019," he emphasized.

Marutyan wished a creative resurgence for the people of the theater.
