Gazprom Armenia Will Refrain from Interrupting Gas Supply to Residential Subscribers Until the State of Emergency Ends

In response to certain publications in the media and social networks that unnecessarily speculate about the interruption of gas supply to residential subscribers due to non-payments made within the specified deadlines, Gazprom Armenia informs that, based on the decisions of the State of Emergency imposed in the Republic of Armenia and the announcement of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the situation has been recognized as a force majeure preventing residential subscribers from making payments until the end of the state of emergency.

Accordingly, Gazprom Armenia LLC will refrain from the process of halting gas supply due to non-fulfillment of payment obligations by residential subscribers until the state of emergency ends, as established by the decision of the Government of Armenia.

Moreover, as of March 26, the total debt of residential subscribers for the gas supplied in February amounts to approximately 4.8 billion drams, of which the debt for households included in the list of socially vulnerable families provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Republic of Armenia stands at 315 million drams. It is noteworthy that 93.4 percent of the total debt for supplied gas does not pertain to socially vulnerable households, while the debt of some residential subscribers who did not pay for the gas supplied in February reaches up to 900,000 drams.
