Passenger Flow in Yerevan Decreased by 30 Times: Deputy Prime Minister
At today’s government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and head of the emergency management office Tigran Avinyan announced that whereas in March-April 2019, about 550,000 people were transported daily in Yerevan, as of March 25, the total passenger transportation across all means of transport amounted to only 18,000 people.
“This indicates that the overall passenger flow has decreased by nearly 30 times. These are the figures for Yerevan, and a similar picture is observed in the regions,” said Avinyan.
Addressing violations of the movement restrictions, Avinyan stated that the police have drawn up 158 administrative violation reports.
“Once again, I would like to ask all our citizens to strictly adhere to the movement restrictions, as they are implemented solely for health purposes,” he added.
