‘Joghovurd’: The Only Gratitude Went to Arayik Harutyunyan
‘Joghovurd’ newspaper reports: The only expression of gratitude during the heated session of the National Assembly was directed at the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Arayik Harutyunyan. Yesterday’s National Assembly session was intense, as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan justifiably expressed his frustration over opposition lawmakers discussing various issues without pinpointing concrete solutions, as they demanded the Minister of Health provide rapid tests used globally.
The ruling party members remained silent, and the leadership of the National Assembly adopted a calming tactic. In this chaotic and rush-driven ‘emergency’ atmosphere, the only gratitude expressed in the Parliament came from opposition MP Anna Kostanyan to Arayik Harutyunyan for the excellent organization of efforts to combat coronavirus at Yerevan’s Mikayel Nalbandian State Medical University.
Overall, it should be noted that the questions posed by lawmakers were repetitive. What was asked during the session convened on the day the state of emergency was declared was echoed in a revised or rephrased manner yesterday.
