Armenia Has Sufficient Number of Tests and Continues to Acquire More: Minister of Health
Armenia's Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan addressed journalists during a press conference today, discussing concerns regarding the availability of tests in Armenia, how many tests the country received, and their costs.
“These questions are interesting, as they begin with assertions—who said that Armenia has a shortage of tests? Armenia does not have a shortage of tests. Armenia has a sufficient number of tests and continues to acquire more. A significant number of tests have been conducted in Armenia—1440 in total, with 290 of them returning positive results, and the process is ongoing,” he stated.
In response to a question about the number of cases in Gyumri, he replied, “Today or at the latest tomorrow, there will be a map indicating the localities where cases have been registered. There aren’t many in Gyumri; we can count them on one or two hands. They are isolated, and apart from that, treatment continues at Gyumri's infectious disease hospital, where citizens from other localities are also receiving care.”
