The Chief of Police's Decision Prohibits Newspaper Printing
According to the Chief of Police's decision, new types of economic activities have been restricted.
“Guided by the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision No. 298-N from March 16, 2020, regarding the declaration of a state of emergency in the Republic of Armenia:
1. To supplement point 2 of the annex of the decision No. 14 from March 24, 2020, concerning restrictions imposed on types of economic activities throughout the Republic of Armenia, with the following sub-points:
57) “17.11” - Production of membrane materials
58) “17.12” - Production of paper and cardboard
59) “17.21” - Production of corrugated paper and cardboard, and paper and cardboard containers
60) “17.23” - Production of office paper products
61) “17.29” - Production of other types of paper and cardboard
62) “18.12” - Printing of other types of printed products (excluding newspapers), limited to postage stamps and postal cards
63) “22.22.0” - Production of plastic products for packaging
64) “23.13.0” - Production of flat glass products
65) “18.11” - Newspaper printing
66) “20.11” – Production of industrial gases
67) “20.14.9” - Production of other basic organic chemicals not included in other categories
68) “23.52” - Production of clay, gypsum, and cement
69) “24.42” - Aluminum production
70) “47.62” - Retail trade in newspapers and office supplies in specialized stores
71) “47.9” - Retail trade outside kiosks, booths, or markets
72) “58.13” - Newspaper publishing
73) “69.10.0” - Legal activities limited to attorney services
74) “94.91.2” - Services for conducting religious ceremonies (including funerals and other ceremonies).
2. To amend sub-point 30 of point 2 of the annex to read:
“30) ‘47.11’ - Retail trade predominantly in food, beverages, and tobacco products in non-specialized stores.”
3. To amend sub-point 38 of point 2 of the annex to read:
“38) ‘49’ - Ground transportation activities and transfers via pipelines, except for:
a. ‘49.31.4’ - Regular inter-regional passenger transport by buses and minibuses;
b. ‘49.39.5’ - Irregular inter-regional passenger transport by buses;
c. ‘49.39.6’ - Irregular inter-regional passenger transport by minibuses.”
4. This decision enters into force upon publication.
