The Main Goal in Artsakh is to Prevent the Spread of the Pandemic
The head of the interagency commission, State Minister Grigori Martirosyan, stated that although no new coronavirus infections have been recorded in the country, he believes that utilizing existing resources more effectively can help counter the threat and implement more effective measures to mitigate negative impacts. In order to overcome potential economic difficulties, the commission has decided to revise the policies implemented by the investment, rural and agricultural support funds towards beneficiaries. Specifically, it has been determined that if beneficiaries facing significant economic difficulties do not fulfill the principal payments outlined in the timelines for their obligations to the funds, those amounts will not be accounted for.
Health Minister Arayik Baghramyan assures that with the stockpiled medical supplies and antiviral medications, preventive measures can be implemented for up to three months, and the import of new medical equipment and disinfectants continues. According to the minister, some disinfectants are also being produced locally. In particular, disinfectants produced at the Stepanakert brandy factory are supplied to the defense army.
