From March 16 to 22, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 233 calls regarding coronavirus; operational group convenes meeting
In the framework of the fight against coronavirus, an operational group established by the order of the Minister of Emergency Situations held its latest meeting under the leadership of Deputy Minister Armen Harutyunyan. The discussions addressed various issues related to the operations of all the ministry's subdivisions under the state of emergency, ranging from the implementation of necessary protective measures to the organization of disinfection.
"Rescue service subdivisions will be supplied with masks and gloves. Fire and rescue units' areas and equipment are being disinfected regularly. According to the report by the Deputy Head of the Operational Group, Major General Vrej Gabrielyan, all divisions of the service are ready to perform their assigned tasks, and will assist the public and state agencies if necessary," stated the report.
From March 16 to 22, the Crisis Management National Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 233 calls regarding the coronavirus. Specialists provided individual responses to each call and offered appropriate consultations. The psychological support department operates on a 24-hour schedule.
Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Harutyunyan instructed the attendees of the meeting and urged them to spare no effort in organizing and implementing the aforementioned measures properly, in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic in the republic. The Ministry of Emergency Situations closely collaborates with all departments.
