No Cases of Coronavirus Reported in the Defense Army, Military Units Provided with Necessary Equipment
On March 22, under the directive of Artsakh's Minister of Defense and Commander of the Defense Army, Major General Jalal Harutyunyan, Colonel Hrach Yegoryan, head of the military medical service, conducted inspections in several military units and hospitals located in the central direction of the Defense Army to familiarize himself with the ongoing anti-epidemic measures aimed at preventing the spread of the new type of coronavirus in the army.
The military medical service chief checked the organization of internal service regulation, adherence to entry and exit regime, sanitary conditions, and the implementation of the commander’s orders directed at preventing the coronavirus infection among the personnel. It is also noteworthy that as a result of preventive measures undertaken by the command, there have been no registered cases of coronavirus infection in the military, and military units and hospitals are equipped with disinfectants and necessary tools for the prevention of epidemic diseases.
Currently, all necessary anti-epidemic measures are being implemented to keep the army free from the virus; disinfection operations are being carried out in military units, personnel are provided with medication to enhance their resistance, and educational sessions on improving sanitary and hygienic safety are conducted with servicemen. Regular reports are made to the army commander on the results and arising problematic issues.
