Nearly 100 Military Doctors from Russia Arrive in Italy to Assist in Coronavirus Fight

Nearly 100 Russian military specialists, along with equipment and supplies, have arrived in Italy on nine planes to support the fight against the coronavirus. This information has been reported by the official website of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian mission consists of 8 mobile teams and around 100 military virologists and infectious disease experts. Italy ranks second in the world in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases, following China. As of the latest data, the number of cases in Italy has reached 59,138.

Italy is the European country with the highest mortality rate from the virus, with 5,476 deaths reported. In terms of mortality from the coronavirus, Italy holds the top position.
