How the Photo of Public Transport Disinfection Made It to The Guardian's Best Photos
The British publication The Guardian included one of the photos of public transport disinfection in Yerevan in its series of best photos of the weekend. The author is Arthur Harutyunyan, a photographer from the Yerevan City Hall's Information and Public Relations Department. This was reported by the Yerevan municipality.
"I have been engaged in photography for 8 years now. While working at the Yerevan City Hall, I primarily photograph official meetings and discussions, where there is less opportunity for creativity. That day we were working in a fast-paced and urgent mode, and at first glance, the scene reminded me of a moment from a film. Our task was to inform citizens about the disinfection work as quickly as possible. The photo was captured by chance and thanks to our teamwork. The operator had boarded the trolleybus from the opposite entrance, seeing an interesting reflection of the light, I rushed to capture the moment," says Arthur Harutyunyan.
Today, the Yerevan Municipality's press service continues its work by being the first to present important events in urban life, as well as the measures taken by the municipal authorities aimed at preventing the new coronavirus.
