Defense Ministry Spokesperson on Leaves Granted to Soldiers

Shushan Stepanyan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, stated on her Facebook page: "In response to the questions from Factor.am, under the Law on Military Service and the Status of Military Personnel, conscript soldiers have the opportunity for a regular leave after the training phase. All other leaves are incentives and granted as additional leave. Soldiers will receive their mandatory leave in accordance with established procedures.

Additionally, soldiers are instructed to prohibit interactions with the civilian population and participation in mass events such as parties, celebrations, funerals, etc. They are also advised to avoid contact with citizens from high-risk areas and individuals returning from high-risk countries from a sanitary perspective."
