Russia to Send 8 Groups of Military Virologists to Italy to Combat Coronavirus

Russian Aerospace Forces are ready to deliver medical equipment as well as eight brigades of virologists to Italy today. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as conveyed by TASS.

The department clarified that, upon the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has instructed the formation of an aviation group aimed at providing operational assistance to the Italian Republic in its fight against the coronavirus starting March 22.

The Russian military agency indicated that the aircraft would deliver eight groups composed of Russian military virologists and doctors, as well as aerosol systems for disinfecting transport and areas, in addition to other medical equipment.

It was noted that Italy has expressed readiness to accept the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
