COVID-19 Infection Rates Decrease in Tehran
The governor of Tehran province, Anushirvan Mohsenin, has announced a reduction in the growth rates of new COVID-19 cases in Iran, according to Tasnim news agency.
As stated by the governor, the infection growth rate was 7 percent as of March 19, but it decreased to 4.9 percent on March 20.
Over the weekend, the Iranian Ministry of Health reported 7,635 cases of recovery from the virus. However, the number of deaths due to complications has reached 1,556. Overall, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country stands at 20,610.
