Armenia Continues to Receive Masks from China: Alina Nikoghosyan
The spokesperson for the Minister of Health of Armenia, Alina Nikoghosyan, stated in an interview with Sputnik Armenia that Armenia continues to receive masks from China even during these difficult times.
She emphasized that Minister Arsen Torosyan has always valued the collaborative efforts with their Chinese counterparts. Armenia has always maintained and continues to uphold friendly relations with China.
Previously, the minister announced that the prices of medical masks in China have increased. While suppliers could previously acquire them for 1-2 cents each, today the price is 85 drams per unit.
Nikoghosyan highlighted that the minister did not intend to offend their Chinese partners with this statement.
It is worth noting that in Armenia, as in several other countries, a state of emergency has been declared to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The state of emergency in Armenia will last for one month, from March 16 to April 14. Entry and exit to the country have been restricted, public events have been banned in Yerevan and other cities, and many restaurants, cafes, and shops (except for foodstuffs) have been closed at the initiative of their owners. Educational and cultural institutions are also closed.
