Trade Goods Transfer List Expanded Between Armenia and Iran: Ministry of Economy
The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia announces that the list of exceptions for goods transportation between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been expanded. Due to the necessity to define additional goods transferred within the framework of humanitarian aid and their transportation procedures, amendments have been made to the Government's decision of February 24, 2020, which allows for the transportation of economically significant goods between the two countries.
Moreover, for the goods listed in lines one to nineteen of the annex, transportation is allowed by the State Revenue Committee based on the written consent of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia regarding the types of goods and their quantities subject to transportation. Transportation of other goods is permitted by the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, taking into account the clearance possibilities at the “Meghri” checkpoint and the quantities and characteristics of the transported goods.
The transportation of these goods is carried out in the following ways: goods subject to transshipment are transferred either in the area of the Meghri checkpoint or within the customs control area of “Agark Terminals LLC.” The movement within the territory of the Republic of Armenia for goods not subject to transshipment and the return of the transport vehicle after unloading is coordinated and monitored by the Police of the Republic of Armenia, considering the instructions and recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
