Lawyers for Robert Kocharian Request Change of Judge for Arrest Terms Review
Lawyers representing Robert Kocharian have learned that the absence of Judge Anna Danibekyan from the hearing was due to surgery.
Defense attorney Hovhannes Khudoyan has appealed to the President of the First Instance Court, Arthur Mkrtchyan, requesting that the review of the motion to change Kocharian’s arrest terms to personal guarantee be assigned to another judge, Khudoyan told 168.am, adding that they will receive a response on Monday, March 23.
As previously reported, the court session scheduled for March 17 regarding Kocharian and others did not take place due to the judge’s ill health.
During that session, Kocharian's legal team was prepared to submit a motion for his release on personal guarantee.
The proposal to change the terms of Kocharian's arrest to personal guarantee has been supported by former Prime Ministers Vazgen Manukyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, and Karen Karapetyan, as well as former Artsakh Prime Minister Anushavan Danielyan.
