Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan's Decision Allows Entry to Close Relatives of the Deceased in Armenia

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan has made several amendments to his decision dated March 20. In particular, following the 3rd subparagraph of the 2nd point of the annex to the Government of the Republic of Armenia's decision No. 298-N on declaring a state of emergency in the Republic of Armenia dated March 16, 2020, he has updated the provisions regarding exceptional and urgent cases of entry into Armenia.

1. After the words "in cases of urgent needs" in the first point of the decision, the following phrase has been added: "or for the purpose of attending a funeral or burial ceremony for the close relatives of the deceased. For the purpose of this decision, close relatives are considered to be the parents, spouse, children, sister, and brother of the deceased."

2. A new paragraph has been added to the first point of the decision with the following content: "An exception to the entry ban into the territory of the Republic of Armenia is also established for individuals belonging to the border troops of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Armenia and their family members. For this decision, family members are considered to be the cohabiting parents and children, spouse, and wife."

This decision comes into effect upon its publication.
