Around 5000 Citizens Were Temperature Checked at Armenia-Artsakh Checkpoints from March 18 to 20
Since February 26, the temperature checking process at the Armenia-Artsakh checkpoints has been initiated by the Ministry of Health of Artsakh, starting from the Agavno checkpoint (from the Syunik side), reports the Artsakh Information Headquarters.
From March 14 at 22:00, temperature checks have been conducted at the Agavno, Kharchakput, Khnzoresk, and Kovsakan checkpoints for all individuals entering the Republic of Artsakh, where later, medical sanitary control points have been established with predetermined shifts.
All regional medical associations are equipped with the necessary rooms to isolate suspected individuals or organize treatment for confirmed cases of coronavirus if necessary. A joint order has been established among the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh, the police of the Republic of Artsakh, and the State Emergency Service of the Republic of Artsakh, defining actions facilitated by border control points to carry out explanatory work with citizens.
Methodological instructions have been developed for control points, and forms for providing information about individual data have been established. The medical sanitary control points are equipped with all necessary means to conduct temperature checks for all citizens entering the territory of the republic.
From March 18 to March 20 inclusive, the medical personnel at the sanitary control point checked the temperature of around 5000 citizens. A high temperature above 37°C was recorded in 25 individuals.
Assessing the seriousness of the situation, the anti-epidemic service conducts regular monitoring at the medical sanitary control points, and responsible officials from the ministry have been dispatched to the medical sanitary control points of Nor Kharchakput in the Shahumyan region and Agavno in the Kashatagh region, who provided methodological instructions to the medical personnel on site. According to these instructions:
- A citizen of the Republic of Artsakh with a fever but no contact with a suspected carrier is sent for home isolation, and monitoring is conducted by the responsible medical personnel through daily calls and, if necessary, visits.
- A citizen with no fever but contact with a suspected carrier is also sent for home isolation and monitored medically.
- A citizen who has fever and has contacted a suspected carrier is sent to the isolation facility designated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Artsakh.
For citizens of the Republic of Armenia:

- A citizen without fever is provided with a mask and gloves if necessary, individual data forms are completed, and medical monitoring is conducted during their stay in the territory of the Republic of Artsakh.
