Today, the National Assembly held an extraordinary session with a single agenda item: the adoption of a package of amendments to the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses related to violations of isolation and self-isolation rules during a state of emergency.
Vice Minister of Justice Vahe Danielyan, presenting the bill for amendments to the criminal code and administrative laws, stated: “Violating isolation or self-isolation rules during a state of emergency will incur fines of 300 to 500 times the minimum wage. Additionally, the fine for spreading panic-inducing information will range from 50 to 100 times the minimum wage,” noted Danielyan.
