Masis-Yerevan Route Will Not Be Overloaded During State of Emergency: Clarification
The Armenian Ministry of Urban Development, Technical and Fire Safety Inspection has provided clarification regarding the overload of the Masis-Yerevan route.
In the clarification, it is stated: "On March 19 of this year, Facebook user Vika Berberyan published a post indicating that the Masis-Yerevan bus is operating in an overcrowded manner, noting that 50 to 60 people are present on the bus, even though it is officially prohibited for more than 20 people to gather in one place during funerals and memorial services. Following the publication, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Urban Development, Artyush Grigoryan, and the Head of the Road Police, Egor Karapetyan, held a working discussion. As of March 20, starting from 8:00 AM, joint control measures have been implemented along the entire route, and the responsible parties of the operating organization have been given mandatory instructions by the authorities to ensure that the route is not overloaded during the state of emergency. The inspection body and the Road Police will continuously monitor these activities from the morning onwards."
