34-Year-Old Armenian Dies from Coronavirus in Pasadena
A 34-year-old Armenian man has died in a hospital in Pasadena, California, after being diagnosed with coronavirus last week, reports Tert.am.
According to asbarez.com, Jeffrey Ghazaryan is the second person in Los Angeles to die from complications related to the coronavirus.
Ghazaryan tested positive for the virus on March 13, after which he was connected to a ventilator for about five days at a Pasadena hospital. Reports indicate that Ghazaryan had traveled from Los Angeles to Orlando for a conference, but decided to extend his stay by two days to visit friends at Disney World and Universal Theme Parks.
His family revealed that he had developed a cough on March 7, and the following day he began coughing up blood, prompting him to return to Los Angeles where he sought medical help due to a high fever. X-ray examinations revealed that Ghazaryan had pneumonia. After testing for COVID-19, he self-isolated and was confirmed to have the virus on March 13. The next day, he was transferred to the hospital via ambulance, where it was found that 60-70% of his lungs were inflamed.
