Your Test Result is Positive: A Citizen Sent Messages to 10,000 People in Turkey

In Adana, Turkey, nearly 10,000 SMS messages were sent regarding the new type of coronavirus, stating, "Your test result is positive." The message was sent on behalf of the Adana City Hospital, and it also mentioned a doctor's name, as reported by ermenihaber.am.

The Adana provincial governor's office has launched an investigation into the incident and discovered that there is no doctor by that name at the hospital, confirming that the message is fake.

As a result of the measures taken, it was revealed that the author of the false message is A.T., an employee of the Chukurova district municipality in Adana. He has been arrested on charges of causing fear and panic among the public.
