We Will Have 25 Billion Dram Business Support and 25 Billion Dram Social Support Packages: Pashinyan
During the government meeting on March 19, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the steps planned to be taken during the current crisis phase: "Our decision is unequivocal—we have not aimed to restore the pre-crisis economic situation, no matter how good it was; rather, we have set a goal to lead with much greater ambitions when positioning ourselves in a post-crisis situation. During this period, we must implement development programs, possibly focus on a reform agenda, and provide significant support to the economy. It is clear that the crisis will bring social challenges as well, and we must confront them and take appropriate actions in that regard. It is essential that these actions are fair, effective, and targeted. We will launch a package that provides approximately 25 billion drams in support to businesses, we will have another package of social support worth 25 billion drams, which will be used as needed, and thirdly, we will establish a fund of approximately 80 billion drams aimed at the transformation of the economy," stated the Prime Minister.
