Remote Work Arrangements for Senior Citizens, Pregnant Women, and Employees with Chronic Illnesses Assigned by the Water Committee
Today, a consultation was held at the Water Committee, during which the heads of departments reported to the Chairman of the Committee on the work being carried out for the preventive measures against coronavirus, the implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, as well as the arising issues due to the situation. This was reported by the Water Committee.
The Chairman of the Committee was presented with the work of the commissions operating in the irrigation and drinking water systems, and there was discussion about holding emergency sessions, where organizational issues stemming from the "Emergency Response Plan for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) at the National Level" were discussed based on the Prime Minister's order.
Due to the high demand for disinfectant solutions, the Committee discussed the provision of a certain amount of liquid chlorine from "Veolia Water" LLC on a reciprocal assistance basis.
During the meeting, it was instructed for the organizations of the system, the water user companies, "Water Resources", "Melioracija", and "Hayjrmughkoyughi" LLC, to organize remote work for employees who are elderly, pregnant women, and those with chronic illnesses according to the established procedure. The possibility of organizing remote work for the Committee's staff was also discussed. It was decided to allocate vehicles from the transportation fleet serving the institution for the purpose of transporting employees.
Participants were again urged to use the instructions from the Ministry of Health for awareness and knowledge of the health regulations to more effectively and promptly organize activities related to combating the coronavirus (COVID-19).
It was instructed for the organizations of the system to establish strict control over the health status of the staff and the compliance with sanitary and hygienic norms in the workplace. The Chairman of the Committee noted that all foreign business trips and events are canceled, while domestic ones should be carried out only in cases of strict necessity. During the meeting, Karen Sargsyan also addressed several other issues related to the Committee's activities and gave new directives.
