Gyumri Polyclinics Shift to Home Visits Under State of Emergency
Entry to the polyclinics is permitted only after undergoing preventive measures. At the Gyumri Red Cross polyclinic, a so-called duty section operates; right at the entrance, a questionnaire begins, listening to the visitor's complaints. If it is determined that the patient has respiratory issues, influenza or other viral diseases, they are transferred to a temporary treatment room. This was reported by Shantnews.
During the state of emergency, there have been very few visitors to the reception. Moreover, during these days, the number of people visiting polyclinics has decreased by half, and those who do come are primarily those who have instructions to undergo monthly health check-ups and receive medications.
The medical staff of the polyclinic mainly conducts home visits in the morning hours, while during the rest of the day, inquiries are made via phone calls. Additionally, polyclinics cannot delay or postpone planned vaccinations. In this case, interactions with people have been significantly limited. Doctors advise families not to bring all members for children's vaccinations.
The number of visitors has also decreased at the Italian polyclinic, while the number of phone calls has increased. Even with a slight fever, patients are contacting their family doctor, which was not the case a few months ago.
