Emergency Incident in Gegharkunik: Eight Family Members Poisoned in Ddmashen, Including Six Children

On March 18, an incident of poisoning occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 12:50, the Hrazdan medical center notified the police department of Hrazdan, reporting that several citizens had been admitted with a diagnosis of "acute exogenous poisoning from carbon monoxide." A police operational group headed by a community police inspector was dispatched to the hospital. The officers determined that those poisoned were residents of Ddmashen village in the Gegharkunik region: 9-year-old Davit T., 5-year-old Narek S., 6-year-old Garik T., 9-year-old Vahe S., 11-year-old Hovik S., 12-year-old Sona T., 31-year-old Narine G., and 58-year-old Nina A.

The juvenile affairs department of the Hrazdan police established that the individuals were poisoned due to a gas leak from a kitchen gas stove in one of the houses on 5th Street in Ddmashen village.

According to the source, the materials prepared at the Hrazdan police department will be sent to the Sevan police division for further investigation.
