Body of 23-Year-Old and Stabbed 28-Year-Old Transferred to Outpatient Center
During the night of March 18, the police department of Tavush received a call from the outpatient center in the village of Aygedzor, informing them that the body of a 23-year-old male and a stabbed 28-year-old male had been transferred there.
According to the public relations and information department of the Armenian Police, minutes after the initial call, around 10:10 p.m., the police department received another alert from the Berd medical center, reporting that a 21-year-old male had been admitted with stab wounds.
The operational groups of the Tavush regional police and the Tavush division conducted joint investigative actions to determine what had occurred at the scene, specifically at the Mehrab intersection in the village of Artsvaberd. Preliminary information suggests that several young men had gotten into an argument over household issues. A 26-year-old resident of Artsvaberd was identified as the assailant who stabbed one of the others. One of the injured had died, while the others sustained various injuries. The Tavush police promptly located the suspect as well.
The 26-year-old suspect has been apprehended and presented to the investigative division. He has been arrested. Measures are ongoing to retrieve the knife used in the crime, and the investigation into the criminal case is continuing.
