Beneficiaries of the "Kitchen of Compassion" Charity Canteen to Receive Food for 20 Days
In order to prevent the possible spread of the new coronavirus, the "Kitchen of Compassion" program will cease serving beneficiaries until April 14 of this year. This was announced by the Government of Armenia.
As part of the program, food packages intended for 20 days will be prepared, which will be distributed to beneficiaries with the help of staff and volunteers starting Monday.
The initiative is being conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia. The "Kitchen of Compassion" program has been operating since 1994, providing hot, quality meals and food packages during the festive seasons of New Year and Christmas to socially vulnerable individuals, including lonely pensioners, people with disabilities, children without parental care, and socially disadvantaged citizens, from October to May every year.
The beneficiaries include around 500 socially vulnerable residents from the administrative districts of Kanaker-Zeytun, Kentron, Erebuni, and Norq-Marash in Yerevan.
