Arman Sarksyan Appointed Chief of Police of Armenia
Arman Sarksyan has been relieved of his duties as the acting Chief of Police of Armenia and appointed as the new Chief of Police, as per the decree issued by President Armen Sarkissian. This information has been confirmed by the Public Relations Department of the Presidential Administration.
“Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation and in accordance with Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 14, Part 10 of the Law on Police Service: Arman SARKSYAN is relieved from his post as the acting Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia,” states the presidential decree.
“Based on the Prime Minister's recommendation and in accordance with Article 133, Part 1 of the Constitution, as well as Article 13, Part 2 of the Law on Police Service: Arman SARKSYAN is appointed as the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia,” the decree further mentions.
