PHOTOS: Quarantine Improves Ecology in Italy and China
As a result of the quarantine imposed in Italy, the waters of Venice's canals have become significantly cleaner. Users on the internet are posting photos and videos showing dolphins and swans swimming in the city's canals. "The sediment in the canals has remained under the water. Gondolas, which usually constantly stir up that sediment, are no longer doing so," local authorities explained.
In Venice, the water has cleared up so much that even swans and dolphins have appeared.
It may seem that the coronavirus epidemic has only negative aspects, but that is not the case. Photos taken from space show that during this situation, the air in Italy and China has become less polluted.
