Girl Victimized by Assault in Intensive Care, No Visitors
The spokesperson for the «Holy Mother of God» Hospital, Gevorg Derzyan, reported in an interview with LURER.com that no relatives have visited the 13-year-old girl from Gyumri who was assaulted.
“The girl’s health shows positive dynamics, her condition is stable, and she is able to speak, but she is still in intensive care,” he stated.
According to Derzyan, in recent days the girl has started moving her left hand and foot, which she could not do before: “This, of course, is positive progress, but she still has a long way to go towards recovery.”
He also indicated that since regaining consciousness, psychologists have been working with her.
When asked if the child has inquired about her mother, he struggled to respond, stating that he hadn’t heard anything of the sort from the doctors who are with her all day. “I know that upon regaining consciousness, she asked about her aunt,” he added.
It is recalled that on March 5, in Gyumri, a mother and her underage daughter were brutally assaulted; the woman died, while the young girl was admitted to the «Holy Mother of God» Hospital in extremely serious condition with numerous bodily injuries.
The 28-year-old man who assaulted them has been arrested. It is known that he has previous convictions.
