Citizen Crashes Stolen Car into ‘Hayinkasatsia’ UAZ and Then Into Another Vehicle
On March 17, an extraordinary incident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 11:00 AM, Vrej Grigoryan, a 40-year-old resident of Baghaberd village, stole a ВАЗ 2101 vehicle (license plate 35 GD 431) belonging to his fellow villager, 37-year-old Karo Aleksanyan, from in front of a shop in Artsvavanik village, according to Shamshyan.com.
During the car theft, K. Aleksanyan’s friend, 36-year-old Mher Arakelyan, who was sleeping in the passenger seat, was also in the vehicle. After the theft, V. Grigoryan crashed the stolen car into a UAZ vehicle (license plate 240 ТЛ 01) driven by 60-year-old Liparit Sargsyan, which belongs to the Kapan branch of ‘Hayinkasatsia’. Subsequently, he collided with a ВАЗ 2106 (license plate 36 PC 509) owned by 33-year-old Armen Khachatryan from Davitbek village.
Following the collision with the second vehicle, Grigoryan lost control of the car, rolled several times, and ended up upside down in a ravine. As a result of the accident, M. Arakelyan sustained injuries and was transported to the Kapan medical center.
