Some Airlines Temporarily Cancel Flights to and from Armenia

Due to the widespread transmission of the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world, several airlines have decided to temporarily suspend their services to certain destinations to and from Armenia, as reported by the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia.

Specifically:

  • Air Armenia has cancelled flights from the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran until March 31, including flights on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays from April 1 to April 30.
  • Air Armenia has suspended the Yerevan-Anapa-Yerevan flights on March 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 23, 26, 30, as well as flights on Mondays and Thursdays from April 2 to April 13.
  • Ryanair has cancelled flights from Armenia to Rome and Milan in Italy and vice versa from March 14 to April 8.
  • Armavia (Armenian Airlines) has suspended flights on the Tbilisi-Yerevan-Moscow/Vnukovo-Yerevan-Tbilisi route on March 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and on April 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (except for flights on March 18, 20, 21, and several dates in April).
  • Armavia has also cancelled flights on the Yerevan-Lyon-Yerevan route on March 23, 30, and April 2, 6, 9, 13, and on the Yerevan-Tel Aviv-Yerevan route on March 26, 29, and April 2, 5, 16, 28.
  • Qatar Airways has cancelled flights on the Doha-Yerevan-Doha route on March 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28, and 31.
  • Belavia has suspended flights on the Minsk-Yerevan-Minsk route on March 18, 19, flights from March 31 to April 5, and on April 14.
  • Ural Airlines has cancelled flights on the Yekaterinburg-Yerevan-Yekaterinburg route on March 11, 18, 25, 29-31, April 2, 5-7, 9, 12-14, 16, 19-21, 23, 26-28, 30.
  • Air Cairo has cancelled flights on the Sharm El Sheikh-Yerevan-Sharm El Sheikh route on March 12, as well as all flights from March 19 to March 31.
  • LOT Polish Airlines has cancelled all flights on the Warsaw-Yerevan-Warsaw route until March 28.
  • Ukraine International Airlines has suspended flights on the Kyiv-Yerevan-Kyiv route on March 17, 18, 19, 29, 30, 31, and April 1.
  • Middle East Airlines has cancelled flights on the Beirut-Yerevan-Beirut route on March 21, 24.
  • FlyDubai has suspended regular flights on the Dubai-Yerevan-Dubai route on March 19, 20.
  • SkyUp Airlines has cancelled flights on the Kyiv-Yerevan-Kyiv route on March 20, 23, 27.
  • Austrian Airlines suspended all regular flights from March 18, including those to Yerevan.

It should be noted that changes and rapid developments are possible due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). Therefore, we urge everyone to stay updated and follow the events as they unfold.

Given the heavy workload and the current emergency situation, the Civil Aviation Committee will attempt to provide updates on cancellations as much as possible. At the same time, we encourage maintaining communication with airlines.
