Our plan is already outlined and ready, says Prime Minister about the economy

The financial market is stable, and our financial system is very strong and resilient, especially since we have reached record levels in our foreign currency reserves. This was stated today, March 17, during a live broadcast on his Facebook page by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who added that the Central Bank has also bought and accumulated an unprecedented amount of foreign currency.

Regarding economic policy, the Prime Minister said, "We do not want to make hasty moves here, because as I mentioned yesterday in Parliament, I am against the logic of economic benefits. We should not give social benefits to the economy that weaken it, but instead base every spending on a development program. We must ensure that as a result of every support, these businesses become more competitive and stronger.

According to the results of 2018-2019, Armenia has accumulated a significant economic potential to undertake an economic restart and begin an economic revolution from scratch. Of course, this potential will be used to emerge from the current situation with a more robust economy. The only nuance is that we must make discussed decisions with strategic depth. We hold discussions several times a day on this matter.

Nikol Pashinyan added that they will soon present their strategy and approach on how to support the economy for long-term benefits: "Our plan is already outlined and prepared in terms of vision. We just want to be more confident that we are making the right decisions before we share this information with the public."
