Health Ministry to Acquire Over 5,000 Coronavirus Testing Kits
The Ministry of Health of Armenia will import over 5,000 coronavirus testing kits by the end of this week. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Health Lena Nanushyan during a press conference.
“By the end of the week, we will receive more than 5,000 coronavirus testing kits, which is sufficient for our operations. We are working daily and are in contact with our international partners to procure additional tests,” said Nanushyan.
She assured that there is currently a sufficient quantity of tests available in the country.
As of March 17 at 12:00 PM, an additional 12 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed from the testing conducted, 6 of which are connected to the Ejmiatsin case, while the other 6 are from a production facility. They were initially isolated.
In total, there are currently 64 confirmed cases, of which 1 has recovered.
