David Movsisyan Will Remain in Detention
Private Davit Movsisyan will remain in detention in connection with the criminal case concerning the death of conscript Vahram Avagyan. The Court of Appeal rejected Movsisyan's lawyer’s appeal. This was reported to NEWS.am by Movsisyan’s attorney, Gor Gevorgyan.
“The court unlawfully rejected our appeal. Even a legal fantasy cannot conceive on what grounds the court could have denied this appeal,” the lawyer stated.
It is recalled that previously it was reported that on January 30, 2020, around 1:15 PM, Private Vahram Mkrtich Avagyan died at the Army Training Center of the Defense Army.
A criminal case was initiated under the first part of Article 110 of the Armenian Criminal Code at the primary garrison investigative department, and an investigation is ongoing.
In relation to the soldier’s death, fellow servicemen Davit Arakelyan Movsisyan, Khachik Armen Gasparyan, and Spartak Artur Avetisyan were detained.
