It is known that the child was diagnosed with a unique illness that is rarely encountered worldwide, and this is the first time this condition has been diagnosed in Armenia.
The surgery took place at the 'Arabkir' Medical Center, where a team of specialist colleagues arrived on March 12 from the Minsk Scientific-Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology, and Hematology, led by its director, Professor Oleg Rummo, a corresponding member of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences.
The phase of the surgery, which lasted 12 hours, also included well-known specialists from Armenia, micro-surgeon Artavazd Sahakyan and liver surgeon Gagik Hambardzumyan. Further details will be announced later.
