The Armed Forces are Fully Provided with Necessary Volumes of Food and Other Means: Ministry of Defense
To prevent the entry of the coronavirus infection into the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, preventive and anti-epidemic measures are being implemented, including a ban on all types of vacations and releases. Visits by citizens to the structures under the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, such as the administrative complex, military units, military training, and military medical institutions (hospitals) are restricted, stated Ministry of Defense spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan on her Facebook page.
Several changes have been made to previously developed programs. Accordingly, planned, non-urgent meetings unrelated to combat tasks have been canceled. To keep military personnel free from infection, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia is actively cooperating with the Ministry of Health and other relevant authorities, and the situation is fully under control.
We urge the relatives of service members not to send packages to their children, to adhere to safety rules, and to understand the restrictions being applied. The armed forces of Armenia are fully provided with necessary volumes of food, hygiene supplies, and other means. Our service members continue to carry out their duties unwaveringly,” the Ministry of Defense spokesperson wrote.
