Temporary Halt of Movement Between Russia and Georgia
Due to the risk of coronavirus spread, Georgia and Russia will temporarily close the border and suspend the movement of citizens starting March 16 (initially reported to begin at 16:00). The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that this decision does not apply to cargo transportation, nor to citizens of Georgia and Russia who wish to return to their home country.
