Barcelona is Completely Empty
Football agent Dmitry Selyuk, who lives in Barcelona, spoke about the situation in Spain concerning the coronavirus pandemic:
“We are sitting at home. There is no one in the streets. In Spain and Italy, people are going out onto their balconies and singing. I remember that after the strike was over, we also went out onto the balconies and everyone was applauding. And now in Barcelona, everyone applauds every day at eight in the evening; this is support for each other, support for the doctors who are helping the patients. Only grocery stores, pharmacies, and doctors are working. Barcelona is now completely empty; it is very painful to see. Everything reminds me of movies about the apocalypse. Sometimes a single car will pass by and that’s it. There are no people in the streets,” Selyuk is quoted by Championat.
